The old Stroh’s Ice Cream building will live again as a tasting room for Detroit’s first winery in 60 years.
Detroit Vineyards has been making wine at the 12,000-square-foot Gratiot Avenue facility near Eastern Market for about a year and will open its tasting room to the public May 3, as first reported by Crain’s Detroit Business.
A new 10-screen Emagine Entertainment movie theater under construction in Hartland Township is expected to be the company’s most state-of-the-art theater to date, according to Emagine officials.
Hazel, Ravines and Downtown is a 10,000-square-foot corner restaurant with an open layout, 120 seats and a long hallway that doubles as a convenience store. Those dining in will also see a raw oyster bar, a large U-shaped bar and the state’s only Jim Beam highball-making machine.
Get ready to drink some beer.
Famous for its 32-ounce, half-yard beer glass, Yard House will open its first Michigan restaurant this December in Troy, according to the eatery’s website.
